Poetry Contest: Win a Turbine Point Card

For our first of our CSTM 2nd Anniversary Celebration giveaways we have a poetry contest designed by CSTM’s very talented skirmish expert, Pineleaf! If you listened to Pineleaf on episode 86, you would have heard that Pineleaf enjoys poetry and I think it is an absolutely wonderful idea!

Poetry Contest Details

We will be giving away a Turbine Points card with a little poetry contest (in this case a tanka contest).

While tanka is not exactly a Middle-earth tradition (I don’t recall Tolkien using many Japanese elements in Middle Earth), I think it will be fun.

First off, a tanka is a Japanese poem style that includes five phrases. The phrases include 5-7-5-7-7 syllables (note that the first three phrases form a haiku, which is a more familiar form to Americans).

For this contest, we will have a question/answer poem. The first three phrases will form the question and are as follows:

A casual stroll
To the lands of the Dark Lord
Shall bring us new hope.

Prize

We have one (1) Lord of the Rings Online Turbine Points Card valued at $10 (750 Turbine Points) to give away to the winner. This point card was given to us by Pineleaf himself so a very special thank you to him!
